Creative Arts Supervision

Update May 2023: I currently have no availability for supervision.

Supervision is a process of monitoring, stimulating and containing the supervisee within the supervisory relationship in order to facilitate the supervisee’s work and the growth of his/her professional identity. It is a working relationship that aims to ensure an effective practice that safeguards the interests of the client. Supervision  is a regular, safe space in which to explore and reflect on the content and process of client work.

For school professionals, the emotional impact of working with vulnerable and troubled children can often be difficult to cope with and can spill over into everyday lives. Supervision allows a confidential space to reflect upon practice; explore feelings and difficulties; offer insight, support and guidance.

Supervision is a reflective practice supporting professional and personal development and is an important facet of self-care.

As a creative arts supervisor, I use a holistic, person centred and creative approach. I can work with qualified or trainee therapist/counsellors registered with PTUK or BACP.
