About Me

Den Vecchio

I am a play and creative arts therapist with over a decade of experience. I am passionate about the value of play alongside a therapeutic relationship and its role in supporting healing journeys for children.

In 2017, I began the journey to become a Sandplay Therapist and am registered with the Association for Sandplay Therapy. I follow a person-centred approach, and respect that each person has their own unique journey to make towards psychological well-being and wholeness.

I am a licensed Parent-Child Attachment Play (PCAP) and Baby Bonding (BB) practitioner offering one to one and group workshops for parents and parents-in-waiting.

I am a qualified Creative Arts Clinical Supervisor and currently work with therapeutic practitioners and school professionals, individually and in groups.

I am a qualified Mindful Hatha Yoga Teacher and bring this into my well-being work with both adults and children.

I am currently studying Pluralistic Therapeutic Counselling to further develop my work.

I am an accredited provider on the Bristol City Council Adoption Support Fund Framework for the provision of therapeutic services.

I have undertaken post qualifying training on Creative Therapeutic Life Story Work, Sherborne ‘Developmental Movement Play’ level 1, Counselling Children and Young People and Developmental Trauma.

I have delivered various talks/training about play therapy, sandplay therapy and related topics, such as attachment, within educational settings. I am available for creative workshops and CPD events for therapists/counsellors.
